FAQs

How many sessions are recommended?

That depends on you and what you come for. Rolfing was first taught as a series of ten sessions, but today I adapt the number to each person, and a single session is also possible. Sessions are usually one to three weeks apart, so your body has time to take in each one.

Who can benefit from Rolfing?

Rolfing is for everyone and for all ages; my youngest client was 5 months old and my oldest 86. People come for physical complaints such as chronic or acute pain, stiffness, headaches or scoliosis, for stress, anxiety, trauma or burnout, or simply to improve their posture, breathing and mobility.

Is Rolfing safe?

Yes. Rolfing should never be painful. The touch can range from very light to deep, and I adjust it to what feels right for you. We do this together, so tell me if anything feels painful or not right. If you have, or suspect, an illness, please see your doctor first. During pregnancy, Rolfing is possible from the fifth month.

What should I expect during a session?

Each session starts with a short conversation, followed by a body reading in which I look at how you stand and move. This happens in underwear, so please bring something comfortable. Then we work hands-on at the table, sometimes with simple movement exercises. A session lasts 60 minutes.
